Club Illusion
2700 Pecan St. West
Pflugerville, TX 78660
(located inside the Three Points Plaza Shopping Ctr.)
Sign-up starts at 8 PM | 21 and up | Casual attire
1.       12 poets- two rounds- cumulative- 1st round random draw; 2nd
round modified random draw- (last six poets in 1st round draw for first
six spots in 2nd round and the first six poets in 1st round draw for the
last six poets in the 2nd round). I know it sounds complicated trust me it
isn't. All you have to do is slam, we will take care of the rest.

2.       12 poets- three rounds- (sometimes cumulative all the way
through, sometimes cumulative first two rounds and clean slate in the
third round).

Poets competing in the slam will always be told before the slam begins
what the format will be.  We ain't trying to surprise ya.

*      Sign up-I want to cut the list off at 12 so get there early
*       Draw begins at 10:00 o'clock
*      Slam starts at 10:15 p.m.

So what does it take to make the team? Well first of all you gotta be real
good. So the real question is how do I qualify for the semis or slam off?
And the answer is easy?

It is very simple to qualify for the semis or slam off.

1.       First and foremost to be eligible for the semis or the slam off you
must slam at Neo twice during the slam season.
2.       If you win a slam and slam one more time you are in.
3.       If you finish in the top four in two slams you are in.
4.       Please note that once a person has qualified they can still slam but
there placement in the slams will not count against the other
competitors. What does that mean Brian? Good question. It simply means
that say Dashade wins the September slam. And he is so excited that he
comes back in October and wins that slam too.  In the second slam John
Crow finished second, Deb the bartender finished third,  Jomar finished
fourth and Maljazur finished fifth. Dashade would still get Herman's
money (if he is giving any) but for the purposes of ranking the poets-
Crow would get a win, and the other poets would get a top four finish.
That way we maximize the number of poets in the semis or the slam off.
I've got a feeling that we will have a lot of talented poets interested in
being a part of Neo Soul's slam tradition.
